Rocket Science Athletes and coaches place well at Hy-Vee Patrick Davis placed 8th overall with a 2:01:29. Coach Tami Ritchie was 9th in the Amateur Elite field. Coach Chris Vanderlinden came in 5th overall initially but had the bad luck of being called for a position penalty. A biker came up beside Chris but did not complete the pass. The penalty was surprising because they were well separated side-to-side so no blocking or drafting took place. The penalty dropped Chris to 11th overall. Coach Jon Saxton put in a solid effort with 2:10:05 and 38th place overall. Josh Wandrey had a strong race with 2:14:32. Christopher Jenks got a waiver to race with the adults. Christopher beat his pretty fast dad and finished in 2:25:59.
